About us

Vetgenomics borns in 2011 as the first EBT (Technology-Based Company) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona by academics and researchers with wide experience in the field of genetic diagnosis and animal genomics.

 

From de beginning, research has been an important part of our activity, ensuring the best service and facilitating better competitiveness.

 

We have created and developed Can-ID, a pioneering animal identification system created expressly to solve the problem of dog droppings. This line of business has allowed the creation of branch company Can-Identification in 2020.

Vector

The same year, after a long research trajectory in the field of metagenomics, we created the branch company Nano1Health, which incorporates a large and multidisciplinary human team to identify microorganisms and pathogens quickly and accurately from a One Health perspective.

 

At VETGENOMICS we focus on the diagnosis of pathogens and on the development, optimization, validation and transfer of technology in the field of genomics.
